The former Jan Bommerhuis, built in 1961, has in the past, served as a faculty for the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and was also used as the main office for the Municipal Housing Department. The Wibautstraat has been given a completely new appearance in recent years and is growing into a popular and vibrant part of the city. The inner-city transformation of this well-known building into 162 homes, has made an important contribution to the liveliness of this area. The top floor of the building was demolished, on which three new floors were built.
