About This Project
Koningin Wilhelminaplein, Amsterdam
324 apartments
Residential property
Completion 2024

A unique solution for the scarce space in the city of Amsterdam. OKU House is a project with a special architectural and constructional element: the two buildings are mostly stood on pillars, part of which goes through the construction of the existing building below. This creates a unique table construction on which a total of 324 homes will be built. This table construction adds an enormous amount of living space to an existing part of the city.

Part of a greater whole

The development of OKU House coincides with the redevelopment of the existing Fashion House office building. The adjacent Berghaus is also part of the total development on Koningin Wilhelminaplein.

A total development in which the addition of bridges forms the connection between different parts of the area.

Publicly accessible town square

The square between the buildings will become a lively place for both residents and employees in this area. There’s room for various amenities such as a coffee bar and a restaurant. The abundance of greenery and placement of jetties on the water also provide a pleasant environment and various places where people can meet.
