In 2012, Boelens de Gruyter acquired the Trouwgebouw and the Parooltoren on the Wibautstraat in Amsterdam from Stadgenoot. The Student Hotel established itself here as the end user with 573 student/hotel rooms. In addition, 4,000 m² of commercial space has been developed.
This redevelopment resulted in an expansion of the floor area of the two buildings from 25,700 m² to 28,800 m². The Parooltoren was completed in August 2015, followed by the Trouwgebouw in January 2016.
